Telamon, Aix-En-Provençe
Beginning a new segment here: Telamon Tuesdays. Tell ‘em on Monday to tune in to Telamon Tuesdays. At least two each Tuesday.
Full disclosure, while this is a Telamon, Caryatids will also be included on Telamon Tuesdays.
Ahhhhliteration.

The doors in Brussels provide some good inspiration for today’s work. We’re extremely fortunate to be working on a couple Art Nouveau projects!

:: Friday Pasquinade::
The Gates of Paradise, otherwise known as the doors of the Firenze Baptistery, by Lorenzo Ghiberti. They only took 27 years to complete! It’s a shame our current culture doesn’t have the patience for something like this. Nowadays, modern technologies would dramatically reduce the production time. The ubiquitous absence of a demand for beauty remains, as does the need for patience in design and production of such a magnificent piece.
